Michael, Steven and Nick are young factory workers from Pennsylvania who enlist into the Army to fight in Vietnam. Before they go, Steven marries the pregnant Angela, and their wedding party also serves as the men"s farewell party. After some time and many horrors, the three friends fall in the hands of the Vietcong and are brought to a prison camp in which they are forced to play Russian roulette against each other. Michael makes it possible for them to escape, but they soon get separated again

Crazy ass movie. 33 years and it still holds up

Well, actually, I think what he did was THE DEER HUNTER and then he added the THE DEER HUNTER Because THE DEER HUNTER. I wish people had taste of music like this nowadays. Now its just some Gucci gang and hype beast mumble crap :D. BIG movie. The first act was too prolonged - we got it - we are not stupid. The rest was sublime.

John Hinkleys favorite movie. Keitel is exceptional In this, but De Niro???? The film it self is a masterpiece. Will never forget this. Im watching the deer hunter right now. Nice work. The slow - and I say that lovingly - opening ALLOWS us to get to know these characters. Also, we like this trio. So when they fall into such terrible jeopardy it creates near UNBEARABLE tension for, quite simply, we have come to care about them.

You"re just too good to be true. Not 1 deer in the trailer ! lol and in case You Forgot im talking about The Deer Hunter.

For those who understand film - Four Stars. Classic. Chief and McMurphy run off into the sunrise. It"s free right now on Amazon video. Great break down and always great video. I was wondering could you do a video on Lawrence of Arabia I love that movie. There"s no sense getting too relaxed John Cazale. This is one of the most powerful films ever made... Best movie to ever be f* ing made loved it It had all the emotions and the meaning if you look beyond it was amazing Im glade I watched it.

I felt a lot of the same things as I was pecially during the wedding and the scene where Michael spares the deer. The Godfather did a similar thing with Michael Corleones sisters wedding (forget her name. Im not sure that the film isnt trying to be patriotic as you have said though.
